If you’re at this blog, it’s probably because you googled “JET Program” and you probably googled “JET Program” because you have questions, and I’m happy to help answer some of those questions.
I’ve written posts on a variety of JET topics (a list is found on the JET Primer page) and you’re welcome to post comments on any of those posts. However, this page is going to be treated like an ask/suggestion box. Any comment submitted through this page won’t be published as a comment, but rather I’ll copy the question and answer it here in a FAQs style. No names or emails will be published.
Now I’m just one person, so I can only answer questions based on my personal experience and what I’ve been told by other JET friends. Some topics I definitely won’t be much help on: teaching senior high school, driving in Japan, coming on JET with a partner or with a family, or specifics about the CIR position. I also don’t have much more than a general knowledge of the application and selection process outside of the US.
